AMTELCO XDS Announces Support for the Asterisk® Open Source Environment
AMTELCO XDS is pleased to announce Asterisk support for the XDS High Density Loop Start Boards (12 or 24 Ports), Station/Operator Boards (24 Ports), E&M Boards (8 Ports), and the 4-Span and 8-Span E1/T1 Boards. AMTELCO provides developers with channel drivers that allow Asterisk systems to utilize AMTELCO's high density and highly reliable analog and digital telephony boards.

Contractors in Italy selected AMTELCO XDS Boards for a wireless communications project for a police and marine communications project.

Developers in China have selected AMTELCO XDS Conference Boards for a wireless conferencing system.



XDS High Density Conference Boards are available in the H.100 PCI (256 Ports) and H.110 CompactPCI (512 Ports) formats.	XDS High Density Loop Start Boards are available in the H.100 PCI (12 or 24 Ports) or H.110 CompactPCI (16 or 32 Ports) formats, and include full DSP capabilities.	XDS High Density Station/Operator Boards are available in H.100 PCI (24 Ports) and H.110 CompactPCI (32 Ports) formats, and include full DSP capabilities.


XDS E&M 2/4-Wire Boards for wireless interfaces are available in both the H.100 PCI (8 Ports) and H.110 CompactPCI (16 Ports) formats, and include full DSP capabilities.	XDS Multi-Chassis Interconnect Boards allow expansion of applications well beyond one chassis, and are available in the H.100 PCI and H.110 CompactPCI formats.	XDS T1/E1/J1 Boards are available in the H.100 PCI format with full DSP capabilities. Both 4 and 8-Span configurations are available.

Also available: XDS BRI Boards in the H.100 PCI (16 Ports) and H.110 CompactPCI (32 Ports) formats. They support S/T interface (NI-1, NI-2, X.25 or International-Euro ISDN), and can be configured as network or terminal on a port-to-port basis.
