XDS H.100 PCI MC-3 UltraLite Multi-Chassis Board When your applications become too complex to be handled within a single PC chassis, AMTELCO has the solution. For expanded applications that need to provide communication between as many as five chassis, the XDS H.100 PCI MC-3 UltraLite board (257A043) can provide fully dynamic timeslot switching from one chassis to another. Communication between the XDS board and the software application is accomplished through dual-ported RAM. The multi-chassis bus includes a total of 2423 timeslots, allowing up to 1211 full-duplex connections between either local or off-site locations. The board utilizes an OC3 fiber optic ring to connect between two and five chassis, with adjacent chassis located up to 2000 meters apart. The XDS H.100 PCI MC-3 UltraLite board utilizes the proven XDS Infinity series processor, and true H.100 Bus. SCSA and MVIP bus signalling are supported. This board also features PCI Plug and Play, with 3.3 and 5-volt signalling supported on the PCI bus. Termination controls on the MC-3 UltraLite board are software enhanced. The board also allows flexible sourcing and control of system clocks. A clock fallback feature is included for recovery in the event of an external clock failure. Driver support for Windows® NT®, Windows 2000, Unixware, SCO Unix, and Linux is available. This board features a H.100 compliant CT bus, a PCI compliant host processor bus and PCI mechanical form factor. It also includes a high speed on-board processor. In addition, the H.100 PCI MC-3 UltraLite board provides for hyper channel support. All firmware is stored in on-board FLASH ROM which eliminates time consuming and error prone firmware downloading at boot time. The XDS H.100 PCI MC-3 UltraLite board is fully compatible with other XDS products, including the XDS MC-3 ISA board, and other H.100 compliant products. AMTELCO fully supports compatible products from the multi-vendor integration manufacturers. For applications that require dual fiber rings for fallback capabilities, or for systems needing to expand to twenty chassis and beyond, AMTELCO offers an XDS MC-3 Lite board, along with the standard XDS MC-3 boards. The XDS MC-3 Lite board includes all the capabilities of the MC-3 UltraLite board, along with a second counter-rotating fiber ring to allow for full ring fallback configurations. The standard MC-3 Multi-Chassis board includes all the features of the MC-3 Lite board (including the dual fiber rings), as well as 128 ports of enhanced conferencing and an analog music-on-hold port.
