A bidirectional analog port is included for functions such as music-on-hold and conference monitoring. Conference switching is possible for all 4096 timeslots of the H.100 bus. The XDS Enhanced High Density Conference board features a flexible multi-conferencing capability with the power to create multiple conferences of 3 people, 10 people, 25 people, or more. Conferees may easily be added or removed whenever necessary. In addition, as many people as needed may be set up in the conference to "listen only" or "transmit only." The board is very easy to use, which makes setting up conferences extremely easy. DTMF detection is available for each conference participant, along with energy detection. Also included is DTMF tone clamping, which prevents DTMF tones from disturbing conference participants. The XDS H.100 PCI Enhanced 128-Port Conference board can operate in a variety of clock modes. The master clock can be derived from the H.100 bus, or it can be generated internally on the board. The board includes redundant clocks to aid in recovery if the primary clock should fail. The Enhanced 128-Port Conference board may provide soft hand-off between transmitters for cellular and radio uses. It can also be used in call center training, allowing a supervisor to coach a trainee without being heard by other attendees. This board is equipped with a processor that can be used to control lower level functions. The host PC controls the board using messages passed through dual-ported RAM. The XDS Enhanced High Density Conference board shares a common message passing scheme with other Infinity Series H.100 boards, allowing you to use a variety of XDS Infinity Series H.100 boards in a single system. This message passing scheme is also compatible with legacy XDS boards for the MVIP-90 bus and SC bus. All firmware for the main processor and the DSPs is stored in Flash EAROM, allowing for easy upgrades of the firmware, and eliminating time consuming and error prone downloading at boot time. Driver support for WindowsŽ NTŽ, Windows 2000, SCO Unix, Unixware, and Linux is available.
