AMTELCO Adds Unique Voice Distortion Feature to
XDS Boards
McFarland, WI – August 2005 – AMTELCO XDS is pleased to
announce that a new voice distortion feature is now available on the
XDS H.110 CompactPCI and XDS H.100 PCI Conference Boards.
This new feature, which was originally developed for large chat centers
in China, provides for the capability to disguise a person’s voice
while participating in a conference. Voice distortion adjustments can
be made individually to one or more active participants of a conference.
The distortion settings can be adjusted dynamically while the conference
remains active.
Using the voice distortion feature, the XDS H.110 CompactPCI Conference
Board has 256 ports, and the XDS H.100 PCI Conference Board has 128 ports.
If the voice distortion feature is not used, the XDS H.110 CompactPCI
Conference Board has 512 ports, and the XDS H.100 PCI Conference Board
has 256 ports.
When using voice distortion, all existing features, such as DTMF tone
clamping, attenuation, and conference switching are available. Distortion
settings can be preset by the user’s application, or can be controlled
by the conference participant by use of their telephone’s DTMF
keypad.
For more information on the voice distortion feature available on the
XDS Conference Boards, call (800)356-9224 or (608)838-4194, or send
